A Spanish SME is leading a project proposal to the next Fast Track to Innovation programme call. The project aims to develop a new concept of a “Manufacturing Execution System” solution, based on an innovative solution for the data capture in manufacturing industries of the automotive sector, which will improve the decision making process of the companies. The consortium is looking for R&D institutes or universities with advanced knowledge in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) communications.

Description

A Spanish SME develops hardware and software solutions for improving the decision making processes in companies. Their innovative solutions are universal and rapidly installable hardware and software equipments designed for the data capture of almost any machine in production lines of any manufacturing industry.



The company is preparing a project proposal to the next Fast Track to Innovation programme call. The project main objective is to develop a new concept of a “Manufacturing Execution System” solution, based on an innovative solution for the data capture in manufacturing industries of the automotive sector.



The current consortium partners include:

- the Spanish SME, which will be coordinating the project

- an important European OEM car manufacturer

- a French SME specialised in secure communications



The consortium is looking for an R&D institute or a university, with advanced knowledge in IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) communications for the manufacturing automotive industrial sector. Its main tasks would be to improve the current hardware and software, especially in the IIoT aspects, with the latest available technologies.



Due to the Fast Track to Innovation programme characteristics, the company will not evaluate any French or Spanish candidates for this project proposal.





Official deadline for the call: 23/05/2019.

Deadline for expressions of interest: 30/04/2019.

Anticipated duration of the project: 2 years.

Advantages and Innovations

The production lines of industrial companies are very heterogeneous, with machines of different manufacturers, models, generations and different data capture technologies. Due to this heterogeneity, the bespoke solutions for data capture are very expensive and are difficult to implement.



The developed solution will allow users to install data capture in their plants, in a faster and cheaper way. It will go beyond the concept of a project, to selling a standard product.
