EUREKA/Eurostars2: Development of a solar tracker controller

Country of Origin: South Korea
Reference Number: RDKR20171026002
Publication Date: 7 December 2017

Summary

A Korean SME specialized in network-based system construction is looking for partners to develop a non-central processing unit’s solar tracking system. The potential partner is expected to have expertise in solar tracking controllers and solar plant planning.

Description

A Korean SME is a system integration and network Integration business model manufacturer and developer. The company develops solar tracker controllers and has a technical license with solar tracker makers or solar plant planners.

The objective of this proposal is to develop a non-central processing unit’s (CPU’s) solar tracker and mini direct current uninterruptible power supply (DC-UPS). The characteristics of non-CPU controllers are a long and trouble-free life. The embedded controllers are controlled in parallel and are easy to operate and install. The mini DC-UPS unit is an uninterruptible power supply which guarantees power supply in the event of a power cut or circuit break and can be used in all devices using DC power.

Role of the consortium members
The company is seeking partners in Europe in the field of solar tracker controllers. The partners are expected to develop original equipment optimized for the end-users.

Deadline of Call: 1st March 2018.
Deadline for EOI: 1st February 2018.
Project duration: 104 weeks

Advantages and Innovations

-The proposed solution removes the CPU and control program from the device, allowing it to be powered independently
- It is very durable and stable and is an original technology
- The DC UPS unit is very small, compact and light
- It can be easily installed to be used with surveillance cameras, modems, network switches, and emergency equipment
