Summary

The Norwegian SME has developed a technology which extracts moisture out of building constructions and fridge and freezer compartments. They seek partners for a Eurostars project who can test the technology in bathrooms/housing constructions and also in fridge and freezer compartments. The aim of the test is to document the consequence of the reduction on renovation costs of the building construction. Regarding the fridge/freezers the aim of the test is to document the energy reduction level.

Description

The key objectives to be reached through the Eurostar project together with European partners (from Eurostar countries) that can implement and test the innovation in their existing product portfolio:

Market 1:
- Test and confirm that moisture is entering the building constructions in bathrooms through the membrane when used for showering
- Test and confirm that the innovation is reducing the moisture in the building construction by transporting it out of the construction
- Digital measurement of the changes in the relative level of moisture over time
- Digital measurement of the changes in the air quality in the rooms and thereby positive health effects in the house due to reduction/ avoidance of the mold in the building constructions

Market 2:
- Test and confirm that the innovation is reducing the moisture in the fridge and freezer compartments and through this reduces the total energy consumption level
- Describe the processes and the effect of innovation
- Measure the changes in the holding time of the products due to reduction of moisture

Partners of the innovation can be:
Market 1:
- Owners of hotel chains that build new hotels
- Large bathroom producers
- Large construction companies that build houses
Market 2:
- Producers of fridge and freezer compartments for the industry
- Owners of hotel chains
- Owners of restaurant chains
- Owners of large warehouses
- Owners of grocery chains

There is a need for partners in this testing phase that address both markets of building construction (market 1) and fridge and freezer compartments (market 2)
Partners in market 1 - with European location:
- Owners of hotel chains that build new hotels
- Large bathroom producers
- Large construction companies that build houses

Partners in market 2 with European location:
- Producers of fridge and freezer compartments for the industry
- Owners of hotel chains
- Owners of restaurant chains
- Owners of large warehouses
- Owners of grocery chains

The testing and implementing in market 1. needs the following acceptance from the partners:
- Accept that the innovation modules are built into the new building constructions
- Together with the SME company close follow up of the measurement of the relative level of moisture in the building constructions
- Digital analysis of the data collected through the test

Deadline for expression of interest is 24 February. Deadline for the call is 28 February. Project duration is 1 year.

Market 1: The implementation of the innovation in the building constructions /bathrooms in parts of their total production that enables a further testing of the products.

Market 2: Enable the installment of the innovation in the freezer and fridge compartment in a selected number of outlets in the retail chain to ensure further testing of the innovation.
