A French SME providing contract R&D and manufacturing services in the biomedical field and microtechnologies, is working on the development of medical devices for tissue regeneration. During 5 years, the company has investigated the design and the manufacturing of electrospun medical devices mainly in the vascular and dental fields. The company is looking for research projects where its electrospinning skills can be used to develop and manufacture innovative medical devices (e.g. NMBP-21-2020).

The company can work on the design, the prototype development and the manufacturing in clean rooms. The company is already involved in European projects and is looking for research and manufacturing partnerships where electrospun materials lead to new advanced devices.

The expertise focuses mainly on class I to III medical devices, like long-term implants, active medical devices, advanced transluminal technologies and in vitro diagnostic devices. The devices, developed and manufactured by the company, are in all medical fields, like cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology, urology and orthopaedics.

The company has been involved in the design, development, characterization, manufacturing and pre-clinical investigations of medical devices made with electrospun materials. For such a purpose, the company has invested in an industrial electrospinning system which controls the temperature and humidity rate ensuring repeatability. Moreover, the system can be programmed for all day and night electrospinning. Ambitious projects can thus be realized.

The company has the know-how to electrospin bioresorbable and non-bioresorbable polymers and is always interested in electrospinning new polymers. The company has investigated the drug release from electrospun membranes.

Furthermore, the company can electrospun different shapes: membrane, patches, straight tubes and tubes with complex shapes. The company has the know-how to assemble electrospun materials together.
Characterization of electrospun materials and devices (fiber diameter, thickness, mechanical properties, in vitro functionality, drug loading and release) can be done.

The company can manufacture electrospun materials for pre- and clinical studies. These materials can be packaged in cleanroom prior to sterilization.
