Description

One of the biggest Greek public universities is coordinating a proposal to be submitted under the EEA and Norway Grants Fund and under Priority sector 2: Social Inclusion, Youth Employment and Poverty Reduction. The main objective will be the development of sets of alternatives for young adults with fewer opportunities to make a future career in the frame of an extreme poor labor market and a huge migration to western countries. The University is seeking a NGO and a private company with experience  in the field of young adults training and capacity building strictly from Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Turkey, Czech Republic , Estonia,  Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal,  Slovakia and Slovenia.

A Greek public university founded in 1988 is setting a consortium aiming to submit a proposal under the EEA and Norway Grants Fund and under Priority sector 2: Social Inclusion, Youth Employment and Poverty Reduction. Under this support area the Fund seeks projects that focus on sustainable inclusive growth and future prosperity. Such goals rely on finding a balance between economic progress and social advancement. The support area promotes well-functioning societies by supporting social inclusion and empowerment of vulnerable groups, equal access to education, employment and health care, and capable and responsible institutions. The added value of this support area is its contribution to breaking the cycle of disadvantage by supporting early interventions, by investing in prevention and boosting systemic change, and by encouraging pilot projects in the area of social innovation. The existing partners are: the Greek University with experience in capacity building of young adults, a local authority from Romania working with excluded persons and a NGO from Norway working for human rights and roma populations.

The idea of the project would mean: The development of sets of alternatives for young adults with fewer opportunities to make a future career in the frame of an extreme poor labor market and a huge migration to western countries.
The alternatives would be to directing them to other types of employment such as entrepreneurship, social economy, freelancing, working from home or working on line. The beneficiaries will be 100 persons from social institutions or young persons that live from social benefits or even youngsters who are unemployed and have no source of living.

Activities for beneficiaries:

- Training courses in civic and social competencies and courses in personal development
- Evaluation of their capabilities, education and skill in order to directing them to suitable training courses packs.
- developing training courses packs according to their evaluations:
- courses in entrepreneurship
- courses in social economy
- in working online
- in freelancing
- other
- Intensive English
- intensive computing, mainly for those who are able to subscribe for very sought jobs such as web developer, etc.

The University is seeking a NGO and a private company with experience in the field of young adults training and capacity building strictly from Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Turkey, Czech Republic , Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Moldova, Slovakia and Slovenia.
No later than 01.07.2018, applicants are invited to submit a project concept note briefly describing the project idea, project activities and outputs, the members of the project consortium and a tentative budget. Only shortlisted applicants will be invited to continue to the second phase. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal before a final deadline.

The deadline for Expressions of Interest is the 25th of June 2018.
