Description

A German start-up company has developed a new nail polish system. The system consists of the nail polish and a brush combined with a special vial, the combination of which leads to a perfect nail polish result in one go. The applicator prevents all typical problems, like painted skin, uneven surfaces and ugly edges by adapting itself to each nail, without any electronics.



The company would like to transfer this system to other applications such as industrial coatings, painting, gluing or cleaning. Sectors can be: assembly of medical equipment, interior decoration, metalworking (e.g. welding), aerospace, agriculture (use of pesticides), automatic cleaning (e.g. toilet seats), automotive industry (coating, gluing and painting) , Food (applying chocolate), infrastructure (bridges and electricity pylons) or furniture manufacturing.



Features of the technology include:

- Mechanical detection of edges and non-existent edges.

- Adaptation of application facilities (brushes/tufts, rollers, spray heads) to surfaces and contours, in particular geometrically indefinite.

- Accurate setting of the area to be e.g. painted.

- Accurate adjustment of the layer thicknesses.

- Accurate adjustment of toolings (height and process) for a specific area.

- Explosion proof.



In addition, they have developed a roller that is variable in width and can adapt to surfaces without changing its diameter.



License agreements are offered to industrial companies with relevant applications. The German company will offer consulting to adapt the solution to the respective process.
