Description

An Italian innovative start-up has designed and patented a quadricycle, a full electric vehicle conceived for goods transportation and designed with automotive standards. The vehicle is conceived to carry goods in an easy and economic way without impacting on the environment and with low maintenance costs, the project was created to meet the needs of the goods distribution of the so-called "last mile" and the distribution of goods in general, with a vehicle capable of carrying out a daily activity within urban centers. Despite being homologated as a heavy quadricycle thanks to its small dimensions and chassis features, the vehicle is made up of an actual body derived from the automotive world and designed and manufactured with elements that guarantee both active and passive safety of passengers. During the design phase, constant and scrupulous checks were carried out as well as virtual crash tests under different conditions and situations of use, up to 50 km/h speed. The company is now open to commercial agreements with technical assistance with end users and is also interested in developing ad hoc vehicles upon request through technical cooperation agreements.
End users could be delivery companies, municipalities, logistics companies needing small vehicles for last mile delivery or for displacements in big spaces and big plants or structures such as interports, airports and similar.
As far as ad hoc vehicles, the company is for example evaluating impaired people transport for organisations such as the Red Cross.
