Processing power of the platform is quite extensive allowing vast on-board data processing. Using Cloud-based data connectivity, numerous (web)applications can be designed by continuous deployment. 
Commercial agreement with technical assistance, manufacturing agreement, research cooperation agreement or technical cooperation agreement are envisioned.

Description

The Dutch SME builds wire-free data solutions, wearables and applications. 
With their lean, rapid development approach they realise signal- and data capturing solutions that suit best to the needs of the customer. The products and technologies can be tailored to branded user applications anywhere from ‘thing-to-cloud’.
Their mission is to provide wearable sensing technology and white-label products to previously untapped sports, leisure, work and (health)care segments.
The internet-of-things triggers the need and creation of ‘new things’ that can generate a leap in the quality of life and living environment. The SME’s mission is therefore also to bring to market affordable wirefree sensor and interaction systems for air quality, energy use and (indoor) location based services.

Application areas:
• Sports biometrics, health and virtual reality/augmented reality: wearable motion, tension (force), position, heart rate, temperature and audio feedback solutions
• Living & environment: interactive LED, local positioning, outdoor air quality sensoring
• Industry & transport: electronic work assistants, identification, location, motion, force

A leading product development of the company is a so called "buddy”. It is primarily designed as a biometric hearable (smart hearing aid) so very compact, however the internal electronics can also be fitted in other wearables.

The company is looking for partners that need one or more of the described sensor-, wearable or Internet of Things technologies in their research programs, product development programs or (as part of) a final product.

The company expects partners who are able to integrate the platform technologies into their application or (final) product. The Dutch SME can support in realizing this integration. Dependent on the business case and subsequent market upside, they can either support such integrations at commercial rates, with consortium subsidy or free-of-charge.

Cooperation with partners would be in the frame of either a commercial agreement with technical assistance, manufacturing agreement, research cooperation agreement or a technical cooperation agreement.

Advantages and Innovations

This is a technology platform based on a very compact all-in-one biometric wearable. 

Because of its modular setup, most of the hardware platform can also be used in other wearability locations, such as wrist, foot, chest as well as animals.

It can sense full 9D motion and posture, a full range of cardio-metrics as well as body temperature.

It has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and it can store 4Gb of data.
It is fitted with an 80mAh rechargeable battery and is fitted with dual speaker and microphone as well as an audio codec.

It is currently running in test programs for various sports- and care applications.
