The Italian company is interested in finding partners with whom to develop case studies in real time conditions through research and development agreements, by submitting proposals under Fast Track to Innovation scheme or collaborative projects.

Description

An Italian company having own headquarter in Italy, with experience in combining research in the field of ICT with applications for aerospace, engineering solutions and civil protection, has developed, together with some research institutes, an integrated system for fire management and real time monitoring. 

The system allows, thanks to an exchange and communication with Satellites, to have real time data for monitoring fires and territories, with the aim to support decision makers in better performing tasks related to prevention and management of fires. 

The system is particularly suitable for decision makers, government bodies, civil protection organisations and all those subjects involved in the area of fire prevention and management. 

The system is customizable depending on size and needs of the client, from national level to municipal level, this frequently depends on the model and rules adopted for fire prevention and management. 

The project is currently funded under SME instrument Phase I and company is interested in finding partners to test the system through research cooperation agreements, in an integrated process, in order to better understand how to deal with the entire data flow and maximise the result, by submitting a joint project under Fast Track to Innovation scheme (could either be collaborative projects).

Organisations interested can anwer individually or representing a whole group or subjects dealing with fire fighting in the same region or country (i.e. company and research centre from specific country, dealing with fire prevention and management).

Advantages and Innovations

The Italian company developed an integrated system, together with two research organisations, aimed at detecting and monitoring forest fires and simulating the fire front evolution in real time, and allow decision makers proceed with further steps in the fire management plan. 

The system includes:

-	Hot-spot detection and early warning system;

-	Real time monitoring (through satellite and sensor measured  in situ data fusion);

-	Decision support system;

-	Customization of offer/product, depending on need related to civil protection, national rule and thematic area.

Requested partner

The company is looking for organisations that could act as testers for the system and application, possibly in a complementary line with respect to local level management of fires; in particular the Italian company would be interested in having country case testers through research cooperation agreements to be performed under H2020 project presentations, especially Fast Track to Innovation projects or collaborative projects. 

The collaboration may also be in the form of technical cooperation under EIC Pilot (ex SME instrument Phase II).
